GedSite Version 1.4 Released

This version adds the Image Gallery User Item and a new Color Editor as well as some other small enhancements. See the Change Log for details.

An Image Gallery is a User Item that adds a list of images to a Page. The images are rendered as thumbnail images with buttons to open the full-size version. You may use an Image Gallery to add images to your site that are not attached to records in your genealogy project. So, you use an Exhibit Gallery to make a gallery of images that are attached to records in your genealogy project, and you use an Image Gallery to make a gallery of other images that are not attached to records in your genealogy project.

Color Editor

The Color Editor provides several methods for editing and.or choosing color values:

  1. An editor where you set the color based on its component values (red, green, and blue)
  2. A General Palette that includes a few hundred colors
  3. A Theme Palette that includes the colors defined in the current Theme
  4. A textbox where you can enter either a color name or a CSS format color code, i.e., #ff0000 for red, #00ff00 for green, etc.

The Color Editor should make it easier for both novices and experienced web users to choose colors.

This version is dedicated to my son Brian!
