Adding a Favorite Icon (favicon)

Follow these steps to add a favorite icon (favicon) to your site:

1. Create or choose an icon file. The file must be an ICO, PNG, JPG, or GIF.
2. Copy the icon file to the Input (-i) folder of your site. The file must be named "favicon.extension", i.e., one of these choices:
   • favicon.ico
   • favicon.png
   • favicon.jpg
   • favicon.gif

You must use an all-lowercase filename, including the extension.

When GedSite makes the site, it will detect the presence of the favicon file. It will copy the file to the "up" subfolder of the Output (-o) folder, and will add the proper HTML to each page to refer to the favicon.
